Anotherone bites the dust.

Another year has past. I remember once when I couldn't wait to be a year older. Well not anymore.
We had a very nice Christmas. We went to Utah and visited 9 grandchildren. We helped our daughter and her family move to a new house and helped clean and paint the new house. It is a nice big house with lots of room. It also is a very nice neighborhood right up against the mountains. It is beautiful and the people in the new ward are very nice.
We returned home on the 23rd of December. We got up about 8 on Christmas and opened our present, started the turkey cooking. We had a few people over for Christmas, Grandma Richardson, Chelsea and Trevor, Nick and Rochelle. There was only 9 for Christmas. We had 12 for Thanksgiving. Thanks everyone for coming over for Christmas and making it a special day.

Thanks Emily for the quilts. They are beautiful and we cherish every stitch and creativity on them.
Thanks everyone for the gifts we received including the nice Christmas cards.
Hope the new year is a good as the end of the old year.
Voss V Dona to all and a good night to all.

Humbug

That's right, Humbug.... I am finding out that this Santa does not enjoy Christmas this year. Why, don't know.
Maybe the swine flue shot? yes I went and got a swine flue shot. I was hesitant about getting it. I should have listened to my inner voice, but no I went with the hype and got one. I have had the flue for the last 10 day. Started out with diarrhea, then aches and pains. It was like in supper mode so It went real fast. Then I developed a cough, more aches and pains then a back ache, leg ache and now leg and arm ache. and what to my wonder ears did appear, but a cough again. Well may by two weeks it will be all gone.
I went to visit my brother and sister in law. They really have life simple. They live in a trailer in a RV Park. They have no clutter and no cares basically. They can travel when they want to and if they decide to move they just pick up and go. They seem happy and they have both lost weight. Nice and Slim. Good for them.
Well Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good New Year.

Scarry Thoughts

Hey, I once again unemployed. I am so thankful that I am no longer working for my new employer. I found out one thing, I do not babysit an adult very well. I found it difficult to work for someone who does not like you and lets you know it daily. Oh, well live and learn. I am thankful for so many things.
My daughter had uterine cancer. She had surgery on October 12, 2009. They said it was small and contained in the uterus only. I am so thankful that she will get well.
I went to Utah and took my daughters children for Saturday and Sunday. We stayed in a Motel. My husband stayed with the boys and I stayed with the girls. We went out to eat and went swimming twice. Sat in a hot tub and laughed a lot. We went back to the rooms and had snacks and watched movies. It was great.

Summers End

Summer was short. It is pretty much over for me. It is great that school is in. But now I have less time for sleeping. Dale goes at 6:00 a.m., Cortney goes at 7:10 a.m.; Walter goes at anytime from 5:30 a.m to 9:00 a.m I go to work at 8:30 a.m. So now no time for sleep after 6:00 a.m.

I decided I am finally writing a book. It should be done in about 5 years or so. Let you know when done and published. It is going to make me rich??????? Ya right, but who knows.

We really enjoy serving in the Library at church. We meet a lot of people and get to talk to them.

Grandma's Goals

First of all I wish parent should take course on parenting and not beable to have kids if they are not capable.

Latest on Cortney. She is living with us. She likes to go places and says she need to have a social life for a little while. Rational Rational

I have set a few Grandma's Goals: 1) Help my grandchildren be all they can be. 2)Work Hard 3) get out of debt and last for today 4) Retire.

I now have a new job. I am working in Nampa for a law firm Yost & Metcalf, PLLC. I am the only secretary they have. I thought I was going to be working with another secretary. But alas I am the only secretary there. I work 9-5, "what a way to make a living"

We had a couple stay with us for a night. They were very nice and no trouble at all. Their name was Dave & Teressa Halley. They are friends of Emily's parents. I guess they live in Utah now. We talked until about 10:30 p.m or 11:00 p.m Okay Emily do I have a scoop on you.

Our house is once again full of people. Two granddaughters, one son and us.
I may have a new career "Grandma's Place" Bread and Breakfast Delight. What do you think?

It is a good thing I like people. Well so long for now.

Change

Well Life is always changing. A wise man once said to me if you don't change life has a way of kicking you in the bottom and moving you along. My life has changed once again. I am now an assistant ward Librarian along with my husband Dale. We will do the Library every other week with another couple. It was nice for our first time and we really got to visit with more people than normal.
Also, my life has slowed down once again. I just take it easy for a change and float along. My yard doesn't so much work and neither does my house. Well the house does but that is another story about remodeling.
We will be going to a family reunion this week but will continue that saga next week.
I have finally obtained some more faith. A lot of my prayers have been answered and things I have been cancelled to do by my bishop have came about with faith in the Lord.
I want all my family and friends to know I have a testimony and that I know that faith and works can make things better.
New things to come. Chow!!

Unemployed What Fun

Well I wondered how I was going to have time for blogging. I have been laid off from work due to the economy. I am really having fund. I was able to help one son that was in a auto accident. I next babysat for three of my grand children. Boy, what fun I had. We went to the park, went to a school carnival and just did some playing. We also, worked in the yard. The kids did great. I had a really good time and was able to get to know my grandchildren and daughter- in -law better.
Next I went to another grandson's high school graduation. Roe graduated in May and now has gone to Kalispell Montana for the summer. You go Roe!!!
I then went to Texas for two weeks. Had a good time with my sister in El Paso and went to Dallas to visit my two nieces and their families. We had a tornado in Dallas. Wind 80 mph and lots of rain. Then on the way back to El Paso we stopped in Midland to see my other sister.
I am having a great time. Next month will see what happens.

Well I can't belief that I am a "twitter" . Where will I find the time? Oh, I know on Monday now I don't work on Monday. I must admit this is all Emily's fault. She has the best stories. So let me tell you little bit about this grandma. I have 13 grandchildren and two of my children do not have any children. I love children, yard work, magic for children, and safe place for family.
